Mari Snyder Johnson
Mari Snyder Johnson is a CEO, entrepreneur, business consultant, an executive producer of feature and documentary films and an engaged philanthropist as an advocate and activist. Ms. Johnson is a Natural Resources Defense Council envoy to the United Nations focusing on the U.N.’s High Seas Alliance which is developing a global treaty to protect our Oceans and marine biodiversity beyond territorial ocean waters. She has been an active board member for organizations such as Defenders of Wildlife, Washington D.C.; the National Women’s History Museum, Washington D.C.; and Marlborough School, Los Angeles. Ms. Johnson’s first documentary film, The Last Animals (executive producer) won the Wildscreen Festival’s 2018 Impact award, the highest achievement in the wildlife film and television industry. The most recent release is the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival Mission:JOY based on The Book of Joy centering on his Holiness the Dahli Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu and their united mission of finding JOY in troubled times. A mother of three grown children, her family is her proudest accomplishment.
