C. Drew Planting '77
Mr. Planting is a Co-Founder of and Managing Partner at GPI. Prior to establishing GPI, Mr. Planting was a Senior Partner at the J.H. Snyder Company, where he created and directed the company’s value-added acquisitions division, which acquired and redeveloped over $500 million of commercial and retail assets.
Prior to joining the J.H. Snyder Company in 2001, Mr. Planting was a partner at Maguire Partners where he headed the development, leasing, and management of the 3.6 million square foot commercial component of Playa Vista (part of the 1,000 acre master-planned mixed-use development of the former Howard Hughes aircraft plant).
At GPI, Mr. Planting heads all acquisition and development efforts. GPI controls over $1.5 billion in real estate assets with notable project including redeveloping West Side Pavilion and the Amoeba Hollywood redevelopment.
Mr. Planting received his B.A. in Economics with Distinction from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a guest lecturer at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate Development.
