A Message From
Loyola High School

Dear Loyola Community,

We pray that this message finds you and your family healthy and safe. The wildfires and windstorms are devastating multiple communities in Los Angeles. We are aware that several families have lost their homes and possessions and many more have been displaced by mandatory evacuations. To support our families in need, we are opening the campus as a welcoming place of assistance and refuge for Loyola community members.

Services that will be provided:
– Food
– Connecting with community members
– Showers
– Wi-Fi
– Place to regroup

Classes will be canceled Thursday and Friday (Seniors will not visit project sites but are encouraged to come to campus to help). We are turning Caruso Hall into a central hub for receiving donations and for those in need to come to campus to get those supplies. Additionally, we will be coordinating efforts to connect those who are ready to help with those who are in need.  Below are our expected hours of operation:

Hours of operation (starting today, Loyola will be accepting donations):
– Thursday, January 9th, 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
– Friday, January 10th, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

*Meals will be provided by Z beginning Wednesday evening through Friday afternoon

We will continue to monitor the situation in the region and communicate as much as possible. We aim to resume classes on Monday, January 13th.

You can bring donations to Caruso Hall by entering the front circle off of Venice Blvd (1901):
