Summer Session

We appreciate your interest in attending Loyola’s Summer Session. The 2025 session is scheduled to take place from Monday, June 16, 2025, to Friday, July 11, 2025. Please note that Thursday June 19th, Thursday, July 3rd, and Friday, July 4th, will be observed as holidays. Registration for the 2025 Summer Session will begin on Monday, April 7, 2025.

The Loyola High School of Los Angeles Summer Session offers a comprehensive and innovative course of study for young men and women who will enter grades sixth through twelve in August of the new school year. The summer curriculum is designed to reinforce the fundamental concepts, attitudes, and skills necessary for academic success in a variety of subject areas. In addition, Loyola Summer Session provides opportunities for participation in and development of co-curricular skills. The summer program is designed to combine serious academic study and physical activity with a relaxed social atmosphere. If you have any questions, please contact summerquestions@loyolahs.edu.

On behalf of the summer session faculty and staff, we hope your son or daughter will find the summer session to be an enjoyable learning experience.

LOYOLA BUSES

Loyola is offering its bus service for the 2024 summer session. In efforts to improve our in-house bus service, Loyola now contracts all bus services through one company, American GTS, to better streamline the process.

For the 2024 summer session, we plan to have five bus routes catering to our most dense populations. The cost for the 4-weeks will be $300.00, which includes morning and afternoon buses (bus leaves at 12:45 pm). Not only is this more convenient for your child or children, but it also fosters an environment for friendships and community with fellow riders.

To guarantee a spot, at this time we are requiring the full balance of $300.00 when you register for bus transportation. Bus registration will close on May 31, 2024. Seating is limited, and we offer first-come, first-serve enrollment.

Loyola reserves the right to cancel, modify and amend proposed routes and service. Only Loyola contracted buses are permitted to transport students, including pick or drop off at our designated parking areas on Venice Blvd.

CURRENT ROUTES

1. Pasadena
2. South Bay (Please note: different pick-up and drop off locations)
3. Westchester
4. Westside/Palisades
5. West Valley

CARPOOLS

We encourage all families who are driving students to/from school and after-school activities to utilize carpooling with other families as much as possible. We know it’s difficult sometimes to know who to carpool with, especially when you are new to the school. Typically, students will meet many students during sports, summer school, and orientations that live in the same geographic area and will start carpooling arrangements and schedules.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

We also highly encourage families to take advantage of the robust public transportation options that exist in Los Angeles County. Consult www.metro.net for a user-friendly experience to see what public transportation routes are best from your area. Metro TAP (Transit Access Pass) card registration forms are also available here: TAP Card Student Application Form.
