Financial Aid Program for Returning & Transfer Students

Overview

At Loyola, every effort is made to extend the financial assistance necessary to allow all qualified students the opportunity to attend Loyola High. The income from tuition and fees only covers 67% of the year's operating budget, which does not include capital expenditures or financial aid. For the 2007/2008 school year, each Loyola student received a "grant" of approximately $5,506.00 from gifts, fund-raising support and the endowment of Loyola High. Financial aid is available on an annually renewable basis.

The financial aid application for returning and transfer students became available through the switchboard and online on February 4, 2008 and is due to Private School Aid Service by May 9, 2008. This year approximately $1,036,000 of financial aid will be awarded to over 210 students, 17.5% of the student body. The average award for financial aid for 2007-08 is $4,075, which is about 42% of tuition.

How To Apply

  1. The financial aid application for returning and transfer students becomes available here
on February 4th and can also be picked up at the switchboard M-F from 7:30am - 3:30pm. The switchboard is located on the 1st floor of Ruppert Hall. You can also download the 2008-2009 PSAS Form.

  2. All completed financial aid forms for the 2008-2009 school year must be returned to Private School Aid Service no later than May 9, 2008. (Please do NOT send the applications to Loyola). Please remember to include a copy of your Federal Income Tax return for 2006 and the $20.00 processing fee. The applicant should also complete the narrative description on the PSAS form that describes your specific circumstances. Failure to include all forms and fee and submit by deadline date could jeopardize the financial aid request.
