How to Apply for Admission

Because Loyola's standards are high, we take great care in the selection of our new students. We seek young men from families who share the philosophy of our school. We look for applicants who are motivated to do the hard work necessary for successful college preparation, who are open to new experiences, and who will participate in the life at Loyola High School with enthusiasm. We want young men who are prepared to apply their minds, bodies and spirits to the achievement of intellectual, social and religious growth.

The online application process for the 2008-2009 school year began in mid-October 2007. The application deadline for entering ninth graders was January 11, 2008.

HSPT Testing

When you apply through the online registration process, you are automatically registered for the HSPT Test at Loyola High School on either January 26, 1998 or Feb 2, 2008. You may take the test on either day. Reservations are NOT required.

Policy of Non-Discrimination

Loyola High School of Los Angeles admits students regardless of race, color, or ethnic origin, and grants them all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students at the school. Loyola High School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletics and other school administered programs. Catholic applicants are generally, but not always, given precedence over non-Catholic applicants.
